Self-care during menstruation

Today I want to share what I read in a magazine. The topics that I wanted to share today is self-care during menstruation.

During the menstruation period we should avoid eating pineapple, guava, chicken, beef, and those things that have  cool effect to the body such as papaya, spinach, kale and coconut water. 


Also avoid to drink caffeinated beverages like coffee and Nescafe. Eat less seafood meals. Should also avoid the cold water bath. Ginger broth is good durign this period because it can eliminate wind from the body and  breaks the mucus and increase the blood flow.


Preparation of ginger broth
Take an old ginger and boil it  with two or three liters of water. The amount of ginger should fulfill half of the water budget. Put "sugar melaka" or palm sugar together with a little sugar, pandan leaf, a fragrant grass and one teaspoon of halba cumin.
